Jenny Vesta - the latchkey kid from the Outer Asteroids. (Her mom fell into a space crack and came back as gas.) She whips through space on her rocketboard, tough-talking anyone who gets in her way.

Vaypa Aphrodite - the gaseous girl from Venus who never has a bad hair day, although her edges waver under pressure. You’ll never catch her in anything but a floaty gown and strappy sandals.

Janus Gemini - the two-headed boy (twins run in his family) who has a hard time paying attention in class because one head is always somewhere else.

Velocidad (Vel) Mercury - the fastest boy in the galaxy, he breaks all the subspace speed records on his turboblades. He wants to blade faster than the speed of light so he can arrive before he gets there (and show his dad).

Mat Hari (or Mat Harrible, as the other kids call him) - the school snitch. He’s been moved from school-to-school, creating a dossier on anyone he can and then wondering why nobody likes him.

Daria “Superstaria” Columbine - the theater-freak kid who dresses kooky and always wants the lead—even when there’s no play.

Alfven and Kelvin Geetuvi - Sunspots with very cool geophysical attributes and an attitude.

Aurora Geetuvi - Alfven and Kelvin’s little sister. She ends up showing everyone a thing or two.

Drooge Moonface - A displaced moonboy who’s stuck on Alpha Centboring, he trudges through life trying to imagine a better future.

Dr. Emrys Mobius - runs the Interplanetary Lab on Planet 1AB. Science teacher and galactic explorer, with a secret.

The Rockrod - Planet 1AB’s student transport (schoolbus), equipped with Woof capacity and a verbal interface programmed to convey “a bustling concern for student welfare” (nosy). Student attempts to override programming have uniformly failed.

Deanne Eagle - Founding member of the Quantum Gang - Earth Chapter, and chronicler of the QG adventures. Deanne receives regular web updates from Jenny at her home in New York City.
